a birthday greeting
with love from Cam, Dad, and a bit from everyone
March 2026
I've been using this company's products for a while now — I started with their Desktop app but now I solely use their Claude Code product for work. When I stayed with you and Beba most recently, I kept wondering how it would do as your network security partner and figured you'd love it if you tried it. I think the technology has just gotten to the point where it might be genuinely useful to you with what you do for the mail servers and your home network — I've been leaning on it for the same thing lately!
I'll have to give you a call this week to share some additional felicitations and to hear if you had a chance to give any of their tools a try. The quickstart guide is a good place to jump in if you want to get going on your own first. I believe Claude Code will probably be the most useful for what you do, but I don't want to bias you too early — and you get to pick between WSL or PowerShell based on your preference.
I think I've really turned my dad into a power user, so I figured the only thing better than that was getting you some semblance of the same experience. I couldn't afford this gift without your help, my dad's help, or my own hard work — so I guess it's a gift from all of us to you. But selfishly, it's a gift for me too, because I frankly love seeing what people can do with this thing.
I should be coming into Chicago from March 19–26th, so I'll coordinate with you and Beba to find a day to spend some time and catch up. Hope you had a wonderful birthday — apologies I didn't get a chance to wish you a happy birthday sooner!
Don't be afraid to text a question if you've got one.
A few good places to start
Love you, Papa!
